We all have said a lie at one point in our life, as I wrote last time we're human and we make mistakes. So there's no doubting that you've said a lie before. Now I was talking to a friend who said she had to write an essay and so I asked what it was on and she said, you guessed it, lies. So now here I am putting my mind to it and I wanna see that I come up with as well. So what exactly is a lie, why do we as humans lie, and what comes of it? I'm pretty sure we all know what a simple lie is. Just an untruth, but how far can an untruth go? Lies are fake statements through more than just words. A lot of things in this world is fake, from friends being your friends for status or money, to filters on Instagram. All fake, people take pictures and edit them, people try to say something and don't mean it because they're selfish. And that word right there really does combine with lie. Selfish and how do they make you selfish? People lie for their own good, you might have an argument and say, "what about a surprise party or gift, hows that selfish?" Well you want to keep your surprise going and don't want to ruin it, that's how. Now it goes farther. When I was younger I lied because I didn't want to get in trouble for something like breaking glass, or spilling water. That's why I lied to keep myself out of trouble and that's why so many people lie. That is what lawyers do for a living. People don't want bad things to happen to them or someone else. Sometimes you lie and get in trouble you take your friends punishment for them, and if your friend asks you to take the heat for it, they probably aren't you friend, if you do it yourself that's awesome, but it's still not good to lie. People make mistakes that's how we learn if you lie then that person won't learn from their mistake. Lying itself is a mistake, I try not to lie at this point because of what it brings with it. When you lie, there's a lot of bad things that come with it. First of all if you're a good person your heart and conscience will start annoying you because you did a misdeed and your mind is not ok with that. Then it goes into getting caught, when you get caught lying you get in ten times more trouble that if you just came out and said the truth. Some lies are very very hard to keep hiding and sometimes, your conscience will get you and you will tell the truth. In the end it's rare to get out by lying. All lying brings is bad things to you, but the birthday surprise party is an exception here, lol. Now again people make mistakes and we will make a mistake and just lie about it because you don't want to be embarrassed, like when I spilled that water on the floor as a kid I didn't want to be yelled at and then my ears start burning up. At the end of the day no one will every stop lying forever, it's not possible. Humans lie and will lie there's nothing to do about that. But if you can cut down your lying that's amazing and will help your life and keep the pace up from the inevitable. So lying is an untruth that stems from selfishness, people lie to keep themselves out of trouble and embarrassment, and bad things happen when you lie. Sorry for the short writing but that's all I had for this topic, thanks for reading and cya. Original
