Today I wanna talk to you, the person reading this. Now I may not know your name but I do know that I am grateful towards you for reading this, so, with that being said, whatever your name may be, I’m talking to you right now. The things I want to talk to, or write to you about, is, what it means to have power, the power that you have, and something you should choose carefully.
When you think of powers what do you think of. Many people probably think about Superman, Spider-man and his web slinging, maybe Iron-man and his suit, or things like super-strength or things of that nature. I would say that a power is an ability that helps you accomplish a certain task. Something that you most likely have heard is, "with great power comes great responsibility." Alright so let's tell that to every villain ever. I don't think responsibility comes with power, responsibility must be harnessed along with the power. Spider-man, Iron-man neither of them, and many others just mastered their abilities and powers. It took time to practice them and work on them. The same needs to be done for responsibility. The power that you have also requires responsibility that must be practiced along with this ability. Then what is this ability that you have? What can you do to accomplish a goal. Well the goal that you can accomplish with this power is any goal that you wish to set. This power that you have, this power that you can use to help people and destroy people with. Is your words. Your words can inspire someone, your words can control someone, and your words can annihilate someone. The things that we say, this beautiful thing that we call language means much more than what we as people understand. Because of this reason I want to tell you about the possibilities, good and bad, and I trust you to make the choices you think is right for you. As I said before though, your words can inspire people; your words can be used to make people better their lives and take actions to act on something they believe in, you can use your words to help people do things, you can use your words to give them a little push. Your words can also manipulate people; with your words you can make people do things, whether it benefit you or them. Well I suppose inspiration is a form a positive manipulation, that's a good idea for another writing I'll keep it in the pocket. The third thing that I will shed light on, your words can annihilate people; with your words you can take a persons insecurities, flaws, memories, feelings, and emotions, and slowly crush a person from the inside. Now like with other powers be careful not to harm yourself with it, I've seen it happen, it's not good. Also, Iron-man has had suits backfire, Batman has had gadgets malfunction, and I'm pretty sure Thor can't go in a bathtub with a toaster while sticking a fork in it. Again, I trust you to make the right choices. That's the third topic, choosing. This power doesn't just happen, you can't bark at someone telling them, "better your life", "lose the game on purpose", or "cry". It just isn't likely won't work. To make this power extremely effective there is an expression we must look at once again. "Think, before you speak." This expression sums up the way to effectively use this power. What it's attempting to say is that you must choose your words carefully, extremely carefully, and when I say extremely, I mean, EXTREMELY. The order which you put your words, the words that put words can change everything "will it be one day, or will today be day one.", whether it be a one letter word, two letter word, or ten letter word, think before you speak, and very very carefully pick and choose your words for the situation, person or people you're speaking with, and goal that you're trying to achieve. This is where there's a practicing element. This doesn't just happen, I think my word choice is just barely qualified to be called good, and I've been practicing for five years. The only time my word choice really slips up is first, while I'm writing because it's 5am right now, and when my emotions take over my brain and words. Do not allow the second one to happen, and don't sleep deprive yourself either haha. For example I just re-read this paragraph and made over eleven changes to words. For a simple example is the scientific power of word choice I will state this. The human brain makes and stores memories. It will also override those memories extremely easily. If you are talking to someone saying certain things, and/or provoking things in a memory will cause them to forget the true story and make things up, not as a "lie" but because their brain truly believe that it happened because your words changed the actual outcome. There's actual word choice affect on the human brain, if that doesn't show the power and ability of your words, then go google more because I'm sure there's more.
That’s all I wanted to talk to you about today, and I can only wish that you now have a better understanding about what it means to have power, the power that you have that is your words, and how and why you should carefully choose those words. I also hope that this reached you as the reader, and could have helped you, I do wanna say though, please don’t abuse this power you have, it’s an extremely effective ability once mastered, so don’t abuse it. Well that’s all thanks again for reading, peace. Original
