3...2...1... Lift off! How many times have you heard that sequence at this point in your life? Now is it improving to go up in numbers or down; first place is better than third, but the number 100 is what you want in school. Besides the world being confusing, today I wanted to go back to the roots of well, just helping people out. Recently my writings have been more of teachings, but nothing that wants to make you get up and nothing that makes you motivated, so today I'm gonna try to do just that. No thesis this time we're gonna improvise and wing this whole thing. Just a by the way, don't ever tell people that if you're writing or speaking. Let's start with the 'what'. What will I motivate you to do, I can say the most motivating things ever, but if you don't have anything to do then my words will roll off you like water against those cool waterproof shirts, lol. How then, do we find out what you need to do? First off let's look at the things you're procrastinating on; if you have something you need to do or finish and you just don't feel like it, then take my words to start or finish that project and get it outta the way. Second and this one kinda goes with procrastination, but not like a paper; what do you want to do in your life. Find the things you want to do in life, your goals, or the answer to the question "What do you wanna be when you get older?", find that thing and I'm gonna try to help you with it. Now that we have what, let me dust off my motivational abilities and start going. Let's look at why you aren't doing what you need to do, to do what you want to do, so ask yourself why you're procrastinating. Normally you'll say to yourself, I'm lazy, I don't feel like it, I don't want too, I have time, etc. the worst statement out of that list is 'I have time', yea you have time, but why are you wasting it instead of doing what you have to do? With that said, the other reasons deal with just not wanting to, so how do you make that lazy 'I don't want to' feeling go away? First off understand that you won't stop being lazy if you don't start being active. Going to the root of the problem is how did you start feeling lazy? The answer is comfortability. When you start getting comfortable, even just barely, you will not want to get uncomfortable, the number one tip I can give you is don't sit down, keep moving, keep doing something, keep doing what you love, what makes you happy, what you need to do, so you can do what you want to do. We all want to do things, but that time we spend not doing what we need to, that's all that's on our minds, and we do nothing productive with all the time you aren't doing your project. The reason that this time is wasted is because, again, you're comfortable and don't want to do anything that will take that away. Now I'm not saying this is an easy thing to do, not at all, sometimes it's really hard to convince yourself to get up. At the end of the day though, so why not go do it now. Whenever I feel lazy, when I really don't want to do anything, and I accidentally laid in bed, I tell myself, "Laying here is boring, but I don't want to stop doing it. If I get up I have homework to do, so why should I get up? Well... if I don't do it now then tomorrow will be even harder, if I don't get up now I will have wasted time I could've spent, gaming, reading, or doing cardistry." After that it's motivation, you need to keep yourself motivated to want to keep going, that's the definition of motivation, the reason for doing something, and so I tell myself small things like "you got this, it'll take 20 minutes you'll get this done, there's not to much.", all that good good. Another good way is rewarding yourself for hitting a certain mark, I shower everyday so I use showering as motivation, "If I finish these two sheets I can go shower." That also shows that you don't need huge things to make yourself motivated, something simple that you want and or need will suffice. Get up and get going, that small phrase sums up how to stop procrastinating. Now let's go into the goals. This is obviously more important than procrastinating on some homework, this is your life, and how you want to find success in life. Everyone wants the good life, but not everyone gets the good life because they don't do what they need to. Get up and get going, let's use that again, you must find what you want to do in life, and no matter how young you are, you need to start doing something to progress to your goal. If you wanna be a doctor or engineer, you need to start learning medics, start learning about electronic parts and chips. Research, read, experiment. Do things to get better at what you want to do, or even better, start doing it, and master your craft. Now if you want to go another route and into business and capitalism, then start reading, start researching, start your own business actually. All of the greatest started young, the quicker the better. There's a kid named Caleb Maddix he's fifteen years old, an author and entrepreneur, and made about 100k dollars at 14 years old. Exactly, it's amazing, and there is nothing saying that if he can you can't; it's the opposite actually. If someone else did it, so can you, I've personally been told that certain people are just gifted, and just because they did doesn't mean I can. I looked at those people and gave them a great smile, then stopped talking. Those people are a waste of time, don't even keep talking to them, leave em' believing that they can't do anything because they're not gifted enough you know the truth and that's the only person that needs to know the truth. Let's have a small talk on failure. I was watching a bunch of videos on cardistry today, and I was watching just these amazing beautiful moves, and I'm like. "Yo why the crap am I not that creative." and then I get motivated to put my pencil down and pick up some cards. Then my mind went into the process of making a move and I told myself. "You're to scared, you need to drop cards to make a good move." Going back to Caleb Maddix, he was speaking in the speech he said that there was no entrepreneur that hasn't failed somehow, he also said failure is the foundation for success. I agree with that. Humans aren't perfect, never have been, never will be, and that's not a bad thing. One of the greatest things to get knowledge from is mistakes, and not just your's, failure is something you need to learn, either from experience, or from seeing someone else's failure and learning how to correct what they did wrong. Don't be afraid of failure, be afraid of losing motivation. "It's not that you didn't succeed because you failed, you just got closer to success through failure." Well that's all I got for this week, I hope I motivated you to get up and walk for a whole 5 minutes or something. Nah I'm kidding I hope you got what I said and you can keep momentum in life, you start taking steps towards your goal, and aren't gonna quit or get angry after the first time you mess up. Have a great week I'll cya in seven days, keep thinking, keep creating, and go inspire. Peace. Original
