It’s been awhile since of done a cluster thought article, but this week I had three small topics and decided to condense them and stick them together. Besides that, the things we’ll be discussing today are pity, onto optimism, and then “watching with your eyes closed.” The pity potty is terrible. It stinks, it doesn't really help anyone, and it can get clogged. Pity is a thing that makes you feel sorrowful of one's situation or problem. This will usually lead you to help them in the form of giving them something. Many people purposely use this to gain something, but they harm their reputation in doing so; not a pride type of reputation or prestige, but they lose a certain respect of self-sufficiency. I've been on the pity potty before; honestly doesn't feel good when you get something. You just feel empty and bad. Because first, you took something from someone though manipulation; second, your conscious will guilt trip you. No one wins, don't do it, pity is terrible, but it most likely stems from a lack of self belief, and not believing you can gain the thing you want with your own work. Optimism will help to counter this pity. Optimism will help you believe that you can get what you need/want. Optimism is something that needs its own work to be achieved. As I've stated in previous writings the brain loves conserving energy, and unfortunately pessimism is the lazy response of the brain. Being sad and gloomy will happen before happiness. Many people call the rain depressing, I find rain therapeutic, and soothing, it also refreshes the plants which are pretty important. Optimism is something you need to practice, something you need to work for. Because unfortunately humans are just negative beings. Fight this, and become positive, you can easily hop off the pity potty, and you'll just generally be happier, who doesn't want that? Now watching with your eyes closed is a concept I find interesting. The oxymoronic name just resonated with me. The first thing I think of with this is listening. Because while watching gives you something, and listening gives you something, yet both are thought to be the best, which makes sense. However, I think there are situations in which closing your eyes and listening to the situation with your own imagery or with no imagery may be better. There's many other ways I could take this, like the creation of systems, eavesdropping, or maybe even nothing. I do believe that I can take this concept somewhere though, and if I do you'll most probably see it get its own article. Until then though,, that's all I got. If you have any ideas, send em' to me, I'd love to know your ideas.

I hope you enjoyed that, and that you can walk away from this a more positive person. To recap, don’t sit on the pity potty you’ll feel guilty and the other person feels bad; second, be optimistic, yes it’s hard, but it’s so much more worth it; third, try to watch with your eyes closed, you might find things you would if you watched with your eyes opened, unless I re-think this entire concept, in which case don’t listen to anything I wrote, haha. Anyways, that’s all for today, have an amazing week, and I’ll see you the next.
