I thought of this topic a few days ago and pondered it a little more today, and the product of that pondering is what you see here. Today I want to discuss the use of words, as the title implies. Specifically, writing words, communicating those words, and the power of those words. Writing. It's a simple task that most people do on a daily basis. Whether it be replying to an instagram comment, or finishing off their next book. I want to address the importance, power, and reason, you should write things down. I want to mainly focus on writing down thoughts and goals. Now if you already write down your thoughts, goals, or ideas, then you're ahead of the game. Scientifically, there was a test conducted by Dr. Gail Matthews at the Dominican University in California that said that if you write down your goals and dreams, you are 42% more likely to achieve those goals and dreams. As for writing your thoughts and ideas down. Writing your thoughts down is extremely good for you. It will clear emotional stress, it will allow your brain to think more, and bigger, it will allow you to read back on things you have thought, and learn from it, be more grateful of things you had, or just get a small sense of amusement. Now, I don't mean pull out your phone and head to notes. You need to take a pen or pencil, a piece of paper, better yet, a notepad or book, and write these down. If you have an amazing thought and can't write it down, then you can pull out your phone type it out, and then once you get back to paper, write it down. Trust me it makes a difference, and if you don't want to trust me, look it up, I already have, so I recommend you don't waste your time, unless you're interested. After you write them down though, you can do more. Communicate them. Talk to other people about things. It's extremely important to share things. Whether you're the happiest person ever, or in depression, you need to talk to people. About thoughts, about goals, or anything at that matter. That 42% actually goes up if you talk to someone close, and/or, someone who believes in you, about the same goals that you wrote down. Some of the greatest minds have, or have had therapists. An example being Logic the rapper. Now that doesn't mean they were all depressed, but they just needed a professional to talk to and empty their tank. You don't exactly need a therapist, but you need to have someone, a close friend, family member, just someone to share your thoughts and dreams with. It will help you, and help your close one learn more about you, and maybe even open up to you. Make sure your friends push you to be the best you, and you push them to be the best them. If you're not convinced yet, I want to talk about the power of your words. Your words, if used correctly, can do much more than you imagine. A picture is beautiful and sends a message to people if done correctly, and yet the expression says that the picture says a thousand words. We use words, because words are extremely powerful. You can change the world with words. Of course your words can't be empty, you have to follow through. Martin Luther King Jr. didn't just say to stop discrimination, no, he went to jail, and many other terrible things to accomplish his goal. He did however, write a speech, and I bet when you think of Martin Luther King Jr. the words "I had a dream" comes to mind. This man was an amazing speaker, his words motivated people, his words made people follow him, into a seemingly impossible battle. I already stated what these words can do for you, they can get you closer to reaching your goal. These words, again, if used correctly, can do much more than we can imagine. All great inventions started with simple drawings, and simple written descriptions, and if every successful company has used this, it's obviously a good way to do things. All in all, keep those words going, think about how to use them correctly, and write em'. That is all for this week. I hope that this helped you understand why you should write your thoughts and words down, why you should communicate your thoughts and words, and the power of those thoughts and words. Now that I have finished this, I have two projects to finish haha, priorities right? Anyways, I'll see you in a week, I hope you have a good one, and, peace. Orginial
