I've been thinking about this writing for the whole week. The problem is I kept thinking of it in the shower, and never wrote it down, and it's a little blurry, but, I do wanna talk about something I do, and something that goes through my brain, which leads to these writings. We'll start with what it means to question, why it's important to question, and lastly, we'll find out when we get there. What does it mean to question? Well obviously, it's to ask something, about something. If you think that, or something of that nature, you're not wrong, yet, as always, there's more to it. Questioning is the act of doubting, looking for proof, and/or looking for more information on a subject. In other words, When you question you are not 100% sure of the topic you do not know why it is how it is, you do not know how it got to be where it is, you do not know what it means, you do not know who could have found it, you do not know something about it, or it could even be you want to know more. Questioning is something that may be simple, yet there's many things that you don't know, sorry to tell you if you didn't know already, but there's a lot you don't know. Even some of the things you say every single day, you may not know. People don't question much anymore they just accept, but it's so important to do this. Socrates. One of the greatest most well known philosophers in history. This man asked an enormous amount of questions because he said he knew nothing. He once said "to know is to know that you know nothing. That is the meaning of true knowledge."-Socrates. Socrates did great things, he was an amazing person, and his niche was questioning. Now why is it important to question, why would Socrates do this? When you ask a question, or you are curious, your brain will really want to figure out the answer to that question, unless there's denial or fear, but that's a little too deep. Most of the time anyways, your brain will want to find the answer. As you already know knowledge is power. Asking questions will give you an enormous amount of knowledge. As stated above when you question you will most likely get an answer, and what does it mean to question? To doubt something unknown to you, and allow me to connect the dots, you learn something about whatever was unknown to you earlier. Like I asked what love was, and now I know that it is a mix of phenylethylamine, norepinephrine, and dopamine. In the end, the point of questioning, the importance of questioning is knowledge, and learning. Honestly I didn't know what this paragraph would be, but I had an idea, that didn't fit into the last paragraph so here we are. Let's talk about something that should be questioned, things I question all the time, and things I believe you wonderful minds should question as well. Societies rules, and sayings. Let me start with the sayings. There's a lot of things this society says, and many sayings that go around that everyone thinks means something. I can say though, that many of these sayings are either wrong, or not finished, and example of not finished would be "if you hit rock bottom the only way to go is up." I believe it should go like this, "if you hit rock bottom the only way to go is up, but not everyone knows how to climb."-Mashnoor Kabir. Another one is "the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." I say "If the grass is greener on the other side of the fence stop staring at someone else's yard, and water your own."-Mashnoor K. I want you guys to come up with some, or tell me some you don't agree with, message me on instagram, snapchat, or facebook, I'd love to see it, and as for the rules, there's a lot of rules society makes, I question them, and for the most part they're wrong, be careful with what you choose to make your habits, they make up what kind of person you'll be. With that let's wrap it up. I actually liked this writing a lot, it was a topic I've been thinking about for awhile so I had some foundation to build on. I hope you understand the meaning of questioning, the importance of questioning, and the things you should question. With all of this said, thanks for reading this far, and peace. Original
